Epworth Laparoscopic Surgery Centre- Melbourne

The Epworth Laparoscopic Surgery Centre was founded by Dr. Harry Frydenberg who as a general surgeon has been involved in Bariatric (Obesity) Surgery for more than 20 years.

Initially trained in General Surgery at the Royal Melbourne Hospital and continued there as a Visiting Surgeon for a number of years during which Bariatric Surgery developed in Australia.

He was involved in the early organization of Bariatric Surgeons in Australia (Obesity Surgery Society of Australia and New Zealand) and is the current President of the organization and also is involved in the International Federation for the Surgery of Obesity (IFSO), as the Secretary/Treasurer.
